PANOS IMMORTAL

To πλήρωμά του αποτελείται απο τους Mister Antreas Kitsos (κιθάρα), Mister Panos Kaidis (κιθάρα), Mister Vaggelis Tigkas (μπάσο), Mister Stelios Kolokithas (drums) με καπετάνιο τον Captain Foris Drikos (φωνητικά, κιθάρα). Μέχρι στιγμής έχουν κυκλοφορήσει ένα demo to 2004 με τίτλο "Warship", ένα demo-album το 2006 με τίτλο "Attack" και το ντεμπούτο album τους "The First Wave" το 2010.

MOURNING

Warum nennt eine Band ihr zweites Demo "The First Wave"?

So immediately when I saw the comment on my Facebook Page I was in love with this band. Why is that? For one reason they are called Warship and as you can see on the above picture, it’s a decent one! Secondly the founder of this band calls himself Captain Foris – surely quite the character. El Capitano also posted a live video on my page – an enjoyable one. The quality ain’t that good and people keep standing in front of the camera but one thing is for sure, this band is likely better live than in the studio. Captain Foris clearly is the frontman of this band. Mister Panos (guitar), Mister Antreas (guitar), Mister Vaggelis (bass), Mister Stellios (drums) and Captain Foris have been round since 2003. Their harbour is in Athens Greece so I give them an extra 10 points for that. Who doesn’t love Greece? So far they have released 2 Demo albums called Warship and Attack. You can listen to them on the Warship website. When visiting their site, please check also out the picture section, quite the experience! I had a listen to a few of their initial tracks and I recommend especially The Call Of The Dragon on the Attack album – but by all means, check out the lot, these guys are good. I love the old fashioned touch to their music. None of that Nu Metal nonsense! Now having said that these guys are good, not each and every track has convinced me. There are certain weaknesses to be heard here and there, sometimes it is the vocals that just don’t seem to fit but more often it is the quality of the productions. Overall however I love it – it is proper Hardrock, the guys put their hearts into it. And remember, perfect is boring. I am really glad I discovered them thanks to Captain Foris and I hope he will keep in touch! Check them out and I am sure you will like most of their tunes as well. My favourite track on their debut album called The First Wave is The World’s End.
