There
are two words in Greek which are pronounced ‘poo’. (yes, I know!)
We
came across the word ‘που’
in the last lesson. In this lesson we
begin with the other ‘πού’.
Νote
the accent on its last letter. It’s
meaning is ‘where’
and is useful if we are enquiring
about
the position of someone or something.

Note
that if a noun follows σε or
από, it is in the accusative
case. This also applies to για,
με,
μέχρι
and χωρίς. For
those who enjoy learning grammatical terms, these six words are called prepositions.
When
σε is followed by
the definite article (ie ‘the’) then using the examples above
we get:
